Begin your file recovery by downloading the data recovery tool onto any other computer you have access to. This can be a second computer at home or work or even a friends computer.
We won’t use this computer but for a few minutes. Once your software has downloaded install it to your helper PC. This will open onto the desktop a special image file and a CD/DVD burner program. Use a disk burner to create a recovery CD/DVD.
Now the special Windows data recovery disk will run file recovery from any disk drive on any computer made in the last ten years. We are now ready to recover deleted files. Hard drive or disk drive access will be given once the disk has loaded.
If your files are lost on an external device connect that device to your computer before start up. Load the disk you created into the drive of the computer you need to recover lost files from. The data recovery tool will now load a miniature Windows operating system onto your computer. This special version of Windows will only load and run from your computers RAM or temporary memory. As such it will not affect your stored files.The new temporary operating system will start up automatically. Once loaded you should open your recovery program from the start button menu.
